LIBERTYVENTION Set to Launch on June 15th and 16th in Wisconsin Rapids

Now that the recalls are over, it's time to change gears a bit. There's no better place to do that than the LibertyVention conference (full-sized flier) taking place June 15th and 16th in Wisconsin Radids.

After a very long year, the weekend event is designed to give any and all Wisconsin patriots a chance to learn, network, strategize...and just plain enjoy themselves.  The Wisconsin 9/12 Project is proud to co-host the event, along with Un-Infringed Liberty, the Northwoods Patriots, and Wausau Tea Party.

While the entire event has been organized by the local groups mentioned above, a number of larger organizations have graciously offered various types of assistance to make it a success. Major thanks go out, in particular, to American Majoritythe Leadership InstituteTea Party Patriots, Americans for Prosperity, and the John Birch Society.

There's word today that WisconsinEye will likely be sending a crew to cover limited portions of the event. But most of what takes place there won't be capturable on video. Everyone is encouraged to come to Wisconsin Rapids and take advantage of the conference in person.

The United States Constitution lies at the heart of the entire LibertyVention program. Appropriately, then, two prominent Wisconsin champions of liberty will deliver Constitution-focused remarks at the event:

Dr. Tim Nerenz, president of the Milwaukee-based Oldenburg Group, will offer the welcoming address on Friday evening.

Well known and respected in the state of Wisconsin and beyond, Dr. Nerenz has gained a devoted folllowing via his blog, "Moment of Clarity" and as a frequent guest on a number of regular broadcasts, including the Vicki McKenna Show. He has authored several popular volumes of essays, including Capitalista! and the just-released Bring It!  Dr. Nerenz has an extraordinary gift for making libertarian and constitutional ideals understandable and persuasive.

Josh Tolley, another heavy-hitter in the push to restore constitutional principles, will deliver the keynote address at Saturday evening's closing banquet.

A successful entrepreneur, business trainer, and author, Mr. Tolley has gained fame as the host of The Josh Tollley Show, a paradigm-breaking, liberty-conscious radio program with growing national syndication. The program can be heard from 7pm to 9pm Monday through Friday on WDKM 106.1 FM out of Adams, Wisconsin or on demand from 9am to 11am through the Genesis Communications NetworkMr. Tolley is a true and consistent friend of citizen activism, encouraging it on a variety of levels. Recently, Mr. Tolley has undertaken a pet film project or two, the results of which are eagerly awaited. Originally from Wisconsin, he regularly returns to visit family and keeps his finger very much on the pulse of our state politics.

Educational and training opportunities make up the bulk of the LibertyVention program. Four core panels are designed to provide information concerning crucial state issues, as well as a chance to discuss those issues with state-based experts. The four panels will focus on:

  • Education
  • Agenda 21
  • 2nd Amendment
  • Youth Activism

A number of solid training sessions will be offered on various aspects of citizen activism by organizations such as:

  • American Majority
  • The Leadership Institute
  • Tea Party Patriots

Sessions will include, for example, information on how to communicate your message effectively and how to lobby elected officials on issues.
