"The Rise of Taylorism"

Presented by Jeff Horn

Wednesday, February 5, 2014, 7 PM

Come join The Wisconsin 9/12 Project this Wednesday, February 5, 7 PM as we learn about the rise of Taylorism in the Progressive movement. We will talk about Taylorism (AKA Scientific Management) as a movement within Progressivism and how it relates to many issues manifesting themselves today, including Health Insurance Reform (Obamacare, Whole Lives System), Education Reform (Rise of Testing, Accountability, and Common Core) and also show how this relates to the Wisconsin Idea.

Jeffrey Horn is the founder of and organizer for Prairie Patriots, a Wisconsin-based grassroots organization that has been in place for two and a half years. He has been an activist against Health Insurance Exchanges, Stewardship Fund Expansion, and, most recently, Common Core in Wisconsin.

 Free admission. Donations accepted.

Call for an Article V Amendments Convention--Should We or Shouldn't We? A Two-Part Series

"Why State Legislators Should Vote Against Calling for an Article V Convention of the States"

Mark Levin's recent book, The Liberty Amendments, has focused renewed national attention on the subject of Article V Conventions to amend the U.S. Constitution.  While Levin takes a decidedly pro-Article V Convention stance, other groups and individuals are not advocates of this strategy.  So what's an average citizen to think?  What is an Article V Amendments Convention?  How is it called?  Who controls the process?  Could it work to rein in an out-of-control federal government?  Or could it result in a runaway convention that renders the U.S. Constitution unrecognizable?  Most ordinary citizens are not constitutional scholars, not everyone is a history buff, and the arguments on either side of the issue can be both complex and compelling.

Hosted by The Wisconsin 9/12 Project, Prairie Patriots, and Concerned Citizens of Dane County, this two-part speaker series will tackle the question of whether or not states--including Wisconsin--should join the call for an Article V Amendments Convention.  Over the course of two evenings, we'll cover both sides of the issue, with ample time for questions and answers.  In this way, we hope to provide the audience with the information and insight they need to form an educated opinion and take action on the issue.

Free admission.  Donations accepted.

Wisconsin 9/12 Project and Other Grassroots Represented at Joint Hearing on Common Core
Written by Kirsten
Tuesday, 08 October 2013 17:49

On October 3rd, I was privileged to represent the Wisconsin 9/12 Project in speaking against Common Core State Standards at the first of a series of hearings on this crucial education matter. It was an honor to stand alongside so many other grassroots and organizational leaders and concerned citizens from across the state who articulately expressed concerns about these controversial standards and want to see Wisconsin take a better path.

A written version of the testimony offered on behalf of the Wisconsin 9/12 Project is now available online here

We had our work cut out for us at the Madison hearing. A parade of administrators whose talking points sounded strikingly familiar, all came out in favor of Common Core. But some amazing things happened that benefited our cause. First, State Superintendent of Education Tony Evers made some profound missteps in his testimony. In addition, some important facts were uncovered in the questioning of many of the administrators...things they may not even have realized established arguments against continuing forward with Common Core.

September 4th Open Meeting: Political Activism and Christianity-- What's a Believer to Do?

Political Activism and Christianity-- What's a Believer to Do?

As we witness the gradual erosion of our Constitutional rights, what should be our response as Christians?  Should we pray, turn the situation over to the Lord and stay out of the political fray, or should we take political action in order to try to make a difference?  Why do Christians have different perspectives on this issue?  What does the Bible say?

This Wednesday Steve Hall will lead Wisconsin 9/12 Project members and guests in a discussion of this topic.  If you have been involved with The Wisconsin 9/12 Project for a period of time you know Steve, his wife Mojgan and their children Sarah and Jonathan.  Steve has a law degree and a master's degree in theology in Old Testament and Semitic studies.

We hope to see you there on Wednesday for this timely and relevant discussion!

Free admission.  Donations encouraged.

Liberty versus Security

Liberty versus Security

The balance between privacy and security is the U.S. Constitution...and the Constitution hangs in the balance!

In America today...

  • Drones surveil citizens without warrant or probable cause
  • The NSA has direct access to personal data from Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Facebook, and others
  • The President maintains a secret kill list
  • Congress repeatedly approves indefinite military detention--even of Americans
  • The Boston Bombing precipitates a city-wide lockdown with door-to-door searches and military-style occupation

Does it have to be this way?

If you've done nothing wrong, should you care?

Must we sacrifice our liberties to be safe?

Come hear respected researcher and constitutionalist Tom Eddlem defend the Bill of Rights in the age of terrorism. Learn how you can prevent America's final descent into an Orwellian surveillance-police state.

In his over 26 years as a researcher, editor, and writer, Tom Eddlem has consistently defended the principles of liberty and the U.S. Constitution and applied them to the issues of the day.  Tom's essays can be found in The New American magazine,,, the Providence Journal, and in several of the Opposing Viewpoints books by Greenhaven Press.  Tom also teaches high school history and economics and produces several radio programs in the Boston area.  He resides in Southeastern Massachusetts with his wife and family.
